Launched in 2017, TerraNavigator is a real estate investment firm focused on working with customers and landowners to identify and implement customized beneficial re-use and redevelopment opportunities on surplus and/or environmentally-impacted property. TerraNavigator is independently funded by Alturus Strategic Capital Partners and is led by Ruben Fontes, who was appointed as CEO of the holding company in 2016. TerraNavigator’s solar development arm, PVNavigator, was formed in 2012, and has provided specialized solar development services on superfund, brownfield and landfill sites across the country. TerraNavigator’s corporate office is located in San Diego, CA.

TerraNavigator’s sister company, Project Navigator Ltd., was founded in 1997 and is a separately-owned and operated environmental services and project management firm that is focused on environmentally impacted properties throughout the U.S. Project Navigator is led by its founder and president Ian Webster, and has offices in Brea, CA and Houston, TX.

The natural evolution of the Navigator companies led to the formation of TerraNavigator in 2017.  TerraNavigator is focused on working with customers and landowners to identify and implement customized beneficial re-use and redevelopment opportunities on environmentally-impacted sites.
